Explore by Travelling was founded by Shijo and his family from their love of travelling and in particular their love of travelling and staying in luxurious accommodation on wheels.

They would love to share their two amazing luxurious motorhomes so other travel enthusiasts can enjoy the high life of motorhome holidays without the hefty price tag. They’re very proud of their motorhomes ‘Travelling Tom‘ and ‘Jerry On Holidays‘ and they’re confident you will absolutely love them also.

Our family spent a wonderful week in Traveling Tom just after Christmas. The van is exceptional, it drives well and setting up/ packing up is incredibly efficient. Shijo has thought of everything and is a great communicator. He even added some special touches for Christmas. It was a pleasure meeting Shijo and we can not wait to hire Tom again!

Amazing van - has everything you need and the beds are super comfortable. Water turns hot really quickly and the sound system is great!
We rented it with only 4 people so we had the luxury of leaving the table and chairs up.
Will definitely rent from Shijo again!

When you book a motorhome at Explore by Travelling you will get a fully equipped motorhome ready to take you on a journey.
The only things you will need to pack are your personal items!
We can also supply linen, just let us know how many people you will be travelling with.

Are the motorhomes pet-friendly?

Strictly No pets allowed inside the Van, if Pet hair is found post-hire, A fee of up to $500 could be charged from the bond.

What is included in the motorhome kitchens?

  • Tom and Jerry are equipped with a spacious kitchen and bench tops.
  • Cutlery’s, Dishes and Utensils provided
  • Please enjoy our complimentary Tea & Coffee provided.
  • Dinette inside for four.
  • Camping chairs provided
  • Microwave & Oven available for use.
  • 2 x Filled Gas bottles provided (Please do not do Swap & Go)
  • Fridge and Freezer with cold packs provided.
  • Fire extinguisher and Fire Blanket provided.

Do you offer a post-hire cleaning package?

– Our Cleaning Package after the Trip (Excluding Toilet) – If you prefer to choose our cleaning package, these are our after the trip van cleaning charges,
– Basic(water wash) Exterior Cleaning is $100
– Extensive(Dead bug marks, Road tar marks, stains)Exterior Cleaning is $150
– Basic Interior Cleaning is $100
– Extensive Interior Cleaning is $150
– If the van requires Basic Exterior and Interior Cleaning is $150
– If the van requires Extensive Exterior and Interior Cleaning is $250

How long does the handover take?

We like to allow anywhere between 30-60 minutes for the handover to ensure we are able to show you all of the motorhome demonstrations.

Do you have a daily kilometre allowance?

Hirers are welcome to take the van up to 200kms a day averaged over the trip, E.g 5 days = 1000kms. Additional km over the 200kms per day average will be charged at 0.50cents per km travelled. (This is to cover excessive wear and tear on tyres and mechanical components. This van is maintained at a high standard).
